Employment type : Full-time Salary range : $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) Location : Sydney CBD, NSW Position: Multiple Duties include but are not limited to: ·Prepare and cook dishes in alignment with our diverse menu ·Accommodate specific guest requests by preparing à la carte items, tailoring dishes to meet dietary preferences and requirements. ·Executes food production in accordance with standards of plating guide specifications. ·Expertly craft our renowned dishes ensuring consistency and authenticity in flavour and presentation. ·Proficiently operate the Tandoor (Indian-style clay oven) to prepare traditional breads and meats. ·Attend meticulously to the presentation of each dish, employing efficient sequencing and contemporary plating techniques to enhance the dining experience. ·Adhere strictly to food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment and ensure guest well-being. ·Regularly assess inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage of ingredients to support uninterrupted kitchen operations. ·Supervise and provide directions for cooks and kitchen hands ·Ensure food safety of dishes served to guests with special dietaries (allergies, intolerances) ·Plan Menu and calculate labour cost for the kitchen operations ·Recommend on menu enhancements, seasonal offerings, and themed culinary events. ·Examine ingredients and finished dishes to ensure they meet our quality standards, addressing any discrepancies promptly. ·Contribute to programs designed to improve quality of service and kitchen productivity. · Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Requirements ·Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Cook/Chef in Indian Restaurant. ·At least Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial cookery or equivalent in a related field.
