About the Company An established and growing business specializing in commercial landscaping, playground construction and outdoor environments is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team. With projects ranging from smaller refurbishments through to large-scale, multi-stage developments, this is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects while contributing to the continued growth of the business. About the Role Due to increasing workloads and continued growth, an opportunity is available for a detail-oriented Landscape Estimator to manage the estimating and tendering process from initial assessment through to final submission. Working closely with the Design and Construction teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing competitive tenders and ensuring projects are priced correctly and handed over with clear budgets and documentation. Key Responsibilities Identify and assess new tender opportunities through online tender portals and industry networks. Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Coordinate and prepare quotes and tenders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted within deadlines. Liaise with clients throughout the quoting and tendering process, maintaining strong professional relationships. Obtain and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating costs where appropriate. Collaborate with Design and Construction teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements and delivery expectations. Prepare detailed job folders and budget information to support a smooth handover to the Construction team. Maintain accurate tender records, file management systems and reporting on current and upcoming opportunities. Conduct site inspections when required to assess site conditions, quantities and potential project challenges. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a commercial estimating role, ideally within landscaping, civil construction, building or a related industry. Procore experience is essential. Experience using Smartsheet and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. A proactive approach, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Estimator – Walling, Cladding & Flooring Systems South East Queensland Siteforce Recruitment is seeking a detail-focused Estimator to prepare accurate quotations and tenders for an established company specialising in walling, cladding, flooring systems and architectural coatings. This opportunity suits someone with residential construction estimating experience who understands trade packages, can interpret drawings accurately and produces clear, commercially sound pricing. About the Role Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to establish the scope of work. Complete quantity take-offs for materials, installation and associated finishes. Prepare estimates covering materials, labour, subcontractors, equipment and access requirements. Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identify missing information, scope gaps and pricing risks, and raise queries before submission. Prepare clear quotations detailing inclusions, exclusions and assumptions. Liaise with builders, suppliers and internal teams to clarify project requirements. Price variations and revised scopes as drawings or site requirements change. About You Previous estimating experience within residential construction or a specialist trades business. Commercial estimating experience would be highly regarded. Strong ability to read plans, interpret specifications and complete accurate take-offs. A practical understanding of construction methods, sequencing and labour requirements. Experience estimating AAC panels, walling, cladding, rendering or flooring packages would be highly regarded. Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness. Confidence using estimating software, digital take-off tools and Excel. The ability to manage multiple quotations and meet deadlines. Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with builders and suppliers. A relevant trade, estimating or construction qualification would be advantageous.
