Demonstrated experience in and/or with the teaching of major methods of evidence-based psychological and neuropsychological assessment, such as the Wechsler tests, personality inventories, and measures of general psychological distress and functioning across the lifespan. Demonstrated experience in teaching evidence-based therapeutic approaches and counselling skills across the lifespan. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment, and work effectively in a team environment. Job Description We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Lecturer (Level B) / Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Oral Surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the clinical and didactic teaching effort of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. The incumbent will promote and support the School’s educational mission in relation to dentistry and oral health. They will contribute to the development and implementation of high-quality learning and assessment activities across courses and programs. The incumbent will also contribute to the broader mission of the School through scholarly and service activities as negotiated with their supervisor. This is a full-time continuing role based at our Gold Coast location. As Griffith is a multi-campus institution, there may be some requirement to attend other campuses on occasion. There is a requirement for considerable face-to-face didactic and clinical teaching, so the expectation is that the incumbent will regularly attend campus across the extended dentistry academic calendar, contributing to learning and teaching, research/scholarship and service activities to support the discipline and the School more broadly. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117,076 - $139,031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136,979 - $162,667 per annum. The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level C range $143,418 - $165,374 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $167,799 - $193,487 per annum. Qualifications Candidates seeking appointment at Lecturer (Level B) will be expected to possess: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent accreditation and standing, and/or significant progress towards completion of a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or field. Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Candidates seeking appointment at Senior Lecturer (Level C) will be expected to possess: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent accreditation and standing, and either a doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent academic, clinical, or professional standing. Evidence of experience in the delivery of student learning and curriculum development, including teaching and supervision in Oral Surgery. An established record of research and scholarship, with the potential to establish a grant-funded program of research. Evidence of ability to mentor HDR candidates on dissertation projects.
