Financial Services Technology Consultant » Mascot, Rockdale Area - You understand financial services. Maybe you've worked with financial advisers, wealth managers, finance brokers or accounting firms. Maybe you've sold technology into the sector. Maybe you've helped financial businesses modernise cybersecurity, cloud platforms or client systems. Whatever your path, you know one thing. Financial services businesses don't buy technology because it's new. They buy trust. They buy resilience. They buy compliance. They buy productivity. First Focus is looking for a Financial Services Technology Consultant to help financial services businesses confidently adopt AI, strengthen cybersecurity and modernise the technology that keeps their businesses running. We are Australia's leading managed AI and IT services provider, and our marketing engine delivers a strong flow of qualified opportunities from firms already looking for change. This is an individual contributor role. It isn't a graduate sales position, and it isn't a lead generation role. You'll need strong commercial instincts, excellent discovery skills and the ability to quickly build credibility with business owners, principals, advisers and executive teams. What You'll Be Doing You'll work with financial planning firms, wealth managers, accounting and advisory businesses, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers and other financial services organisations, typically between 20 and 250 users. These firms are reviewing their cybersecurity, AI strategy, cloud platforms, Microsoft environment or existing technology partner. AI is changing financial services rapidly. Business owners want to know how Microsoft Copilot and modern AI can reduce administration, improve client service, streamline compliance activities, accelerate document preparation and free advisers to spend more time with clients. You'll help firms move beyond experimentation into practical, secure and commercially valuable AI adoption. You'll lead the commercial conversation from qualification through to proposal and close. That means understanding how the business operates, identifying operational bottlenecks, mapping decision makers and designing solutions that genuinely improve productivity while reducing risk. You'll work alongside technical specialists and solution architects, but you'll own the client relationship. You don't need to be the deepest technical expert in the room. You do need to confidently translate AI, cybersecurity, cloud and managed services into business outcomes financial services leaders care about. You'll produce clear, commercially credible proposals and ensure smooth handovers into implementation because a successful sale doesn't stop once the agreement is signed. Requirements About You You understand that selling into financial services is different. Trust is earned. Security matters. Compliance matters. Relationships matter. You know how to have commercial conversations with professionals who expect you to understand their business before recommending technology. You're also naturally curious about AI and already using it to improve your own productivity, research, communication or client engagement. You'll likely be a strong fit if you have: At least five years' experience in consultative B2B sales, solution consulting or technology consulting. Experience selling into financial services, wealth management, accounting or professional services. A track record selling managed services, professional services, cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft technologies, AI or financial technology solutions. Confidence engaging with business owners, principals, CEOs, CFOs and technology decision makers. Strong discovery skills and commercial discipline. Excellent written communication and proposal development. Enough technical curiosity to understand AI, cybersecurity and cloud services while knowing when to involve specialists. High personal standards and the expectation that your remuneration reflects the value you create. Experience with platforms such as Xplan, AdviserLogic, Midwinter, Iress, Hub24, Netwealth, Class, BGL or Salesforce Financial Services Cloud would be highly regarded, but isn't essential. This role probably isn't the right fit if your experience has been primarily lead generation, transactional product sales or highly structured enterprise sales supported by large bid teams. What Great Looks Like Within six months you'll be confidently leading strategic conversations with financial services business owners, advisers and executive teams, converting qualified opportunities into long-term managed services clients and becoming a trusted technology advisor. You'll be known for asking better questions, qualifying thoroughly and helping clients make smart technology decisions rather than simply selling products. You'll also help financial services firms understand where AI creates genuine business value, where stronger foundations are needed first and how First Focus can help them modernise securely and responsibly. Why First Focus Financial services businesses don't need another IT supplier. They need a technology partner who understands security, resilience, compliance and how modern financial businesses actually operate. First Focus is Australia's leading managed AI and IT services provider, with more than 350 specialists across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. We're helping financial services organisations adopt AI safely, strengthen cybersecurity and modernise the way they work. Behind every opportunity is genuine delivery capability across managed AI, managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity, Microsoft technologies, modern workplace and professional services. You won't be building a pipeline from scratch. You'll be working with businesses that already know who we are and are actively exploring change. Your job is to turn the right opportunities into long-term client relationships. Benefits Strong base-weighted remuneration with achievable performance incentives. Hybrid work and flexible hours. Free access to Uprise, including confidential coaching with qualified psychologists and counsellors. Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance. "Never Stop Growing" with 10 paid study days each year, paid certification exams and salary increases for certifications (conditions apply). Regular internal technical training and access to a comprehensive learning library. FastTrack mentoring program to accelerate your career. Be part of our MAD (Making A Difference) Council supporting equality, charity and environmental initiatives. Tesla company car packaging option (conditions apply). Regular social events and a genuinely supportive team culture. Access to deep technical capability across managed AI, managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity, modern workplace and project services. If you've built your career helping financial services businesses embrace technology, enjoy discussing AI with senior decision makers and want qualified opportunities backed by genuine delivery capability, we'd love to talk.
