LawConnect exists to change that - helping everyone understand their situation, build confidence, and find the right legal help when it matters most. We’re redefining how consumers get legal help by combining AI with our leading lawyer marketplace. Backed by one of the largest legal software companies globally, we bring the stability and resources of an established business with the speed and ambition of a well-funded startup. This is an environment built around innovation, experimentation, and moving quickly. Small team, real momentum, and a global ambition. You’ll work alongside talented people who care deeply about making legal help accessible to everyone. What you’ll do You'll join a product team that already has a PM on the consumer side and a PM on the lawyer side, who work closely together. Your focus is the marketplace as a whole – the problems that sit between the two sides, the bigger bets that need one person to carry from idea to result, and how the marketplace makes money. In practice that means picking up hard, cross-cutting problems: why jobs go unclaimed, what happens after a job is posted, how we price it, and how we make sure the right lawyers are there when consumers need them. You decide what's worth building, size it, write the brief, and drive it through design and engineering until it ships and we can measure it. Our Growth team owns how people find us; the product team owns what happens once they arrive – and there's still plenty of headroom between someone posting a legal problem and a lawyer signing them as a client. You'll work directly with the other PMs, our leadership team, engineering and design, getting involved early to decide what we build and why, then seeing it through to a shipped, measured result. To make this happen you will: Map the end-to-end journey of someone in a moment of legal need, and of the lawyer who serves them. Spot the friction, the gaps and the opportunities on both sides. Find and size opportunities. Take a signal in the data, a customer conversation, or your own hypothesis, and put a defensible number on it. What is it worth, how confident are we, and what will it cost to find out. Shape the roadmap. Bring a whole-of-marketplace view to prioritisation, working with the other PMs and leadership. Defend your ranking with reasoning rather than preference, and say no to good ideas that are not worth the slot. Write the brief. Turn ambiguous product problems into a clear problem statement, a success measure and a spec that design and engineering can run with. Ship with engineering and design. Get it into the backlog, unblock it, and see it live. This is where most of your week will go. Talk to customers. Speak to consumers who have used the product and lawyers who claim the work. Watch sessions. Bring real behaviour into the roadmap rather than inferring it from dashboards. Prove what worked. Design experiments that give real answers, read them honestly including the ones that failed, and feed the result back into the next round of prioritisation. Raise the bar together. Share what you know about sizing, specs and experiments, and learn what the other PMs know about our consumers and lawyers. Work closely with the other PMs, engineering, design, legal/content, sales and the Growth team, communicating progress, blockers and next steps without being asked. What you’ll bring Experience as a Senior, Lead or Principal Product Manager, ideally on a consumer product or a two-sided marketplace. A track record of owning a product area end to end: finding the problem, sizing it, shipping the fix, and showing it worked. Experience building and defending a prioritised roadmap with a stated impact model behind it. A track record of shipping with engineering teams. Clear specs, a real understanding of technical constraint, and developers who would happily work with you again. Direct experience talking to and testing with customers. Comfort working alongside other PMs on a shared product. You do not need to own everything to get things done. Confidence with SQL and a BI tool, and the ability to build an estimate from first principles. There is no analyst sitting between you and the data. Comfort shipping AI features and using AI tools in your own work. Even better if you have Two-sided marketplace experience. Supply constraints, liquidity, matching, and the discipline of not acquiring demand you cannot service. Pricing or monetisation experience. You have set prices, designed a credit or subscription model, or owned how a product makes money. Consumer products involving high-consideration, emotionally loaded, infrequent decisions such as legal, health, finance or insurance. Experience shipping products built on LLMs. Early-stage or scale-up experience, and comfort with imperfect data and unfinished infrastructure. You are the type of person who Asks why before you ask how. Wants to own the outcome, not manage the backlog. Gets uncomfortable shipping something you cannot measure, or that no customer has seen. Reads the data and talks to customers, and trusts neither on its own. Cares more about the marketplace working than about which lane is yours. Is energised by how fast AI is changing software, not intimidated by it. If you meet some, but not all the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application. Why join LawConnect? Your work matters. Major contractors like Acciona, CPB Contractors, John Holland, and McConnell Dowell use Aphex to deliver projects from £50 million to multi-billion pound mega projects. We're market-leading in Australia and the UK, supporting teams building the roads, rail, tunnels, and hospitals that millions use every day. Our founding thesis: owning the planning layer is a gateway to solving high-friction adjacent processes in what we call the orchestration layer of major project delivery. The Role We're looking for a Product Manager to own our Insight & Data area — the measurement layer of the Aphex platform. You'll report directly to the Head of Product and lead a squad of ~6 engineers that flexes with scope. The opportunity: Aphex captures something unique — granular, structured data about how major projects actually execute. Not just what was planned, but the daily record of what happened: coordination, progress, constraints, the gap between plan and reality. This dataset doesn't exist anywhere else at this fidelity. Our thesis is that the behaviours teams run — publishing cadence, daily coordination routines, statusing discipline — are the leading indicators of project performance. Measuring those routines, scoring them, and connecting them to outcomes is the core intellectual problem of this role. Nobody in construction has done it. Your two customers: The user. Signals surfaced inside their existing workflow that change behaviour on site — not another dashboard. A routine-health score a project team actually acts on. Org-level insight an executive trusts. Aphex itself. Your measurement system is the evidence layer for our own product decisions — activation curves, feature landed-vs-rejected, routine adoption. Success looks like every PM in the company citing your measures in their briefs without having to ask you for a report. Your charter — what you own: The core measures : the canonical, tool-agnostic definitions of project and user behaviour (publishing scores, daily-cycle activity, routine health) and the taxonomy underneath them The data platform : the pipelines and aggregated data models everything reads from MCP and the API surface : how customers and AI tools access their data Eval frameworks for the AI agents that consume this data The org/admin surfaces : admin console, org-level insights, report sharing, request-access — end-to-end, your team ships these Activation as an outcome : instrumenting and driving the behaviours that make projects stick Explicitly not yours: The daily-cycle workflow itself (briefings, capture, diary) — owned by the Planner and Diary teams In-workflow rendering of your signals — you own the signal contract (what's measured, what triggers, what good looks like); the surface teams build the moments, prioritised like any other roadmap work That split is deliberate. This is a leverage role: your definitions and data flow through every team's roadmap. What You'll Do Own the measurement system Define, defend, and version the core measures of project behaviour and performance Connect behavioural routines to outcomes — build the evidence for what actually predicts delivery Make the measures self-serve for users, customer teams, and internal product/GTM teams Own delivery Run discovery through QA to launch with your engineering team Write specs and briefs your team can execute against — and hold them to their briefs Independently sanity-check sequencing and estimates; challenge what doesn't smell right Make daily trade-off calls on scope, timeline, and quality Own the platform Data pipelines, aggregated models, and the API/MCP access layer Platform reliability — major projects depend on accurate, accessible data Partner across the company Publish signal contracts the Planner and Diary teams build against Work with CS and Solution Engineers on how customers want to use their data Feed product decision making across the org with evidence, not opinion Why This Matters Every contractor reinvents reporting from scratch, and every construction analytics product measures the same lagging outputs. Aphex's edge is measuring the behaviours that precede the outputs — and we have the only dataset that makes it possible. You're building both the product that surfaces this to customers and the evidence engine that steers what Aphex builds next. About You Essential: A measurement background: you've defined metrics systems, built or evaluated data pipelines, or worked as/with data scientists closely enough to hold your own Product ownership: you've owned a product or platform area standalone — set direction, not just executed someone else's Technical depth to interrogate, not just converse: you can pressure-test an engineering estimate and spot a sequencing error Track record shipping data products, analytics, or platform work with quality Remote-first operator: writes clearly, documents decisions, communicates proactively Highly valued: Behavioural analytics, activation/retention instrumentation, or product-led growth measurement Experience with AI/agent products and evaluation frameworks Vertical SaaS or construction/industrial experience Experience making internal teams evidence-driven, not just customers This role isn't: A dashboard factory — we're building signals into the workflow itself, not another reporting surface, so it won't suit someone who wants to just ship charts Pure strategy — this is hands-on delivery; you'll need to enjoy owning execution, not just setting direction and handing it off Diluted by a layer above you — you'll report straight to the Head of Product, so the ownership is genuinely yours A role where the brief always arrives fully resolved — you'll often be deciding with incomplete information, and that's part of the challenge: shaping the answer, not just executing one that's already settled What We Offer Flexible/remote work across UK and Australian time zones, with WeWork access One annual all-expenses-paid international team offsite (we've been to Vietnam and Thailand — where to next?) An Aphex social budget £500 annual training allowance and access to our Emerging Leaders programme Paid parental leave MindFi EAP access Employee Referral Program Your personal Lego welcome kit & Aphex swag Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Our company does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, or other non-merit factors. At Aphex, we believe our team should reflect the variety of perspectives in the world we build for. We've noticed that qualified candidates from underrepresented groups sometimes hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the listed requirements, while others might apply when meeting just 60%. If you're excited about Aphex and believe you have the core skills to succeed in this role, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't check every box in the description. Your unique perspective might be exactly what we need. If you need any accommodations during the interview process, please let us know. • Thu, 03 Sep • Aphex | Director of Product Management » Macquarie Park, Ryde Area - Reference Number: (06800-0013498732) Location: Sydney (preferred) / Melbourne Work Type: Hybrid A global technology business is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead its transport solutions portfolio across international markets. What you’ll do This is a growth-focused product role sitting inside our Growth team. You will own the SEO & growth roadmap: finding the opportunities, sizing what they are worth, deciding what we build first, and driving it through engineering and design until it ships and we can measure it. Our consumer side is entirely self-serve, so growth is our engine rather than a support function. The funnel currently loses the large majority of people before they are matched to a lawyer, and around 90% of our acquisition spend sits in a single channel. Both of those are large, unclaimed opportunities and they are yours to go after. How this role works with our agency partners We deliberately do not hire a single in-house specialist to own SEO strategy. Instead, we retain specialist agency partners who work across many businesses, stay current, and bring us ideas and best practice. We run more than one, and we refresh them, so the flow of new thinking does not depend on any one person or firm. Your job is to turn that into results. You decide which ideas are worth pursuing, what they are worth, and in what order. You write the brief, collaborate with design and development, and see it through. This is not a project management role: we want someone who forms their own view of what an idea is worth, kills the weak ones, and owns the outcome – not someone who moves agency tickets through a backlog. Scope The role starts SEO-weighted, roughly 80% in your first period, and broadens as priorities shift. Over time, we would expect your time to move across: SEO and generative search. Turn agency strategy into a sequenced, shipped roadmap — programmatic content, technical fixes, site structure, data enrichment, link building. Plus positioning us to be cited by AI answer engines, a channel with no settled playbook yet. Conversion optimisation. Once our product team ships the rebuilt intake, run the experimentation programme on top of it. Our two current intake flows convert at roughly 15% each. Wider growth surface. Landing pages, quality score, lifecycle and recovery flows, or a new channel entirely, depending on where the headroom is. To make this happen you will: Find and size opportunities. Take an agency recommendation, a signal in the data, or your own hypothesis, and put a defensible number on it. What is it worth, how confident are we, and what will it cost to find out. Own the roadmap. Maintain one ranked backlog across the growth surface. Defend the ranking with reasoning rather than preference, and say no to good ideas that are not worth the slot. Ship with engineering and design. Write the spec, get it into the backlog, unblock it, and see it live. Direct our agency partners. Brief them well, challenge weak ideas, and tell us when a partner has stopped adding value. Two things to know about working here Supply governs demand. We only acquire consumers in categories and locations where we have enough lawyers to serve them. Growth that ignores that constraint creates a bad experience, not revenue. Legal is regulated. Everything we put in front of a consumer must inform, triage and route. We never give advice on someone's specific matter. This shapes how you design experiences and content. What you’ll bring Around 5 years in growth product, product management or growth marketing, in a role that carried a direct revenue or conversion target Strong SEO experience with enough SEO fluency to brief and challenge a specialist agency, without needing to be the specialist yourself A numbers-oriented or technical background. We would rather see engineering, analytics or another quantitative discipline than a purely marketing one A track record of shipping with engineering teams. Clear specs, a real understanding of technical constraint, and developers who would happily work with you again Experience building and defending a prioritised roadmap with a stated impact model behind it Direct experience talking to and testing with customers Confidence in GA4 and a BI tool, and the ability to build an estimate from first principles. There is no analyst sitting between you and the data Even better if you have Two-sided marketplace experience. Supply constraints, liquidity, matching, and the discipline of not acquiring demand you cannot service. We turn complex, fragmented asset information into a single source of truth, combining real-time condition insights with the operational context needed to prioritise work, manage risk, and act efficiently across large property networks. Asseti automates condition detection, triage, repair prioritisation, and cost forecasting at scale. We streamline asset operations by enabling teams to identify issues, understand impact, coordinate responses, and measure improvement, all within one unified platform. We are building the operational backbone that helps leading organisations run their assets with clarity, consistency, and confidence. The opportunity Asseti holds something very few companies do. Thousands of sites, millions of components, condition tracked over time, with the same assets measured again and again as they change. The interesting work is what we build on top of it. This role is about taking what we already know about a portfolio and turning it into decisions people act on, work that gets done, and money spent in the right place. Same data, far more value, and a customer who runs more of their operation through Asseti every quarter. It is early, it moves fast, and the line between what you ship and what customers do differently the following week is very short. What you will do This is a hands on product role. You will spend your time with customers, with engineers, and in the product itself. We expect you to build with AI, not just ship it: prototypes, throwaway tools, analysis, whatever gets you to an answer faster than another document would. Own discovery, prioritisation, and roadmap delivery for your product area, building an evidence-based roadmap from customer, user, and business needs. Articulate clear problem statements and specifications engineers can build from directly, finding the right solution with engineering rather than ahead of it. Partner closely with Engineering, Design and GTM through delivery: surface risks early, make pragmatic scope trade-offs, and take shipped work through measurement and iteration. Own the outcome, not the release. Define success before you build, then follow through on enablement and adoption until customers work differently. Requirements What you will bring 3 years as a Product Manager on B2B software. If you have 2 and can show us what you have shipped and the outcome it produced, apply anyway. High agency. You have delivered real outcomes in environments where nobody handed you a process. You find the answer rather than waiting for it. AI-first in how you work. You use AI tools daily to prototype, analyse, and move faster, and you can show us specific examples of what you have built with them. Customer obsession. You run your own interviews, sit with users, and are the person on the team who has actually spoken to a customer this week. Systems thinking. You can hold how the pieces connect in your head, and you notice when a change in one place quietly breaks something in another. Data driven. You define metrics before you build, you know your way around product analytics, and you can query and interrogate data yourself rather than asking someone else for a chart. Comfort working deeply with engineers on system design and technical trade-offs. Bonus points for Experience building for operational personas: facilities management, property operations, maintenance, construction, field services, or logistics. Experience turning large or complex datasets into something non-technical users act on. Familiarity with ERP, CMMS, or facilities management platforms. Experience with spatial or geospatial data. Benefits High-impact role at the heart of customer outcomes. You will be one of the first joiners in our product and design team in Sydney, so you will help shape how we work and how we solve customer problems in a forward thinking and dynamic team. Come and make your mark. Competitive compensation and equity participation in a high-growth company. • Wed, 26 Aug • Asseti | Product Manager » Sydney CBD, Sydney - We are partnering with a growing financial services business that is looking to appoint a Product Manager to help shape and improve its product offering.
