About the Roles We are currently recruiting the final positions to join our team at MacIntyre Wind Farm. Opportunities for experienced wind technicians who are looking for career progression and longevity on one Australia's most famous wind farms. Reporting directly to the Lead Technicians, you will be part of the core team of service technicians who will ensure that operations and maintenance work is executed safely, to a high standard and with minimal downtime. The Service Technician’s responsibilities are commissioning, fault clearance as well as maintenance of the wind turbines. The roles are based on site full time at the MacIntyre Wind Farm, near Warwick, QLD. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organization's JSA, LOTO, EHS and associated policies/procedures Report errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved, and answer questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Project Teams as required Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections and report as required to MCU lead/FPM/CMS. Form part of a roster to work weekends and nights if required or as directed by management Perform high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as required Be familiar with and follow all EHS policies, and procedures applicable to their job and report any injuries, spills, near misses or related incidents and any concerns about possible violations of this policy Cooperate with GE investigations and EHS audits, and call attention to fellow employees of unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions and practices to their Manager, Supervisor, and EHS Manager/Coordinator Complete all required EHS Training Qualifications & Experience: Trade qualified Mechanical tradespersons, with electrical aptitude. Proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. Experience in overall wind farm operations and maintenance, installation, and heavy lift main component exchange. Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills. Must hold the appropriate eligibility, at date of application, to work in Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident of Australia or an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen) Ability and willingness to travel nationally or internationally for work and training, as a part of a 3 week on, 1 week off roster. Desired Characteristics Must have positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
