About the Opportunity We are seeking a reliable and motivated Security Patrol Officer to join our team in the Riverland. Based out of our office in Berri, you will provide a visible security presence across client sites, conduct scheduled patrols and respond to unscheduled alarm activations and incidents as they arise. Night shifts operate seven days a week, with additional day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently, remains alert throughout the night and approaches each situation with sound judgement. You will represent AG Security Group across the region, helping keep our clients’ premises secure while delivering professional and courteous service. Responsibilities of the Role Your duties will include: Conducting scheduled mobile and foot patrols across client premises Checking buildings, doors, gates and access points for signs of damage or unauthorised entry Responding to unscheduled alarm activations as they arise during your shift, adjusting patrol activities as directed and assessing situations in accordance with site instructions Completing lock-up and unlock duties as required Recording patrol activity and preparing clear, accurate reports Maintaining communication with the operations team and escalating incidents promptly Identifying hazards, maintenance issues and security concerns Liaising professionally with clients, members of the public and emergency services when required Following company procedures, client instructions and safe working practices About You We are looking for someone who brings reliability, integrity and a professional approach to every shift. Applicants must have: A current South Australian Security Licence A current driver’s licence A current First Aid Certificate Unrestricted work rights in Australia Flexibility to work a 7-day fortnightly roster. Confidence driving at night and working independently across multiple locations Strong observation skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Confidence using mobile devices and electronic reporting systems A calm approach to incidents and the judgement to seek support when needed A commitment to safe driving, fatigue management and workplace safety Previous experience in mobile patrols or a similar security role will be highly regarded. A National Police Check will be required as part of onboarding.
