About the role As a Security Officer with AG Security Group, you will be responsible for maintaining a consistent, visible security presence and remaining focused throughout your shifts. Working as part of a professional, service-driven team, you will interact with a wide range of people ensuring everyone is treated with respect and professionalism, while supporting a safe and well-managed environment. You will also liaise closely with internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and communicating clearly to help operations run smoothly. Monitoring and protecting staff, visitors and property to support a safe and secure environment. Providing courteous, customer-focused assistance to employees, contractors and visitors. Conducting regular internal and external foot patrols, checking access points and site conditions. Identifying and managing potential risks early, taking appropriate action to prevent escalation. Responding promptly and professionally to incidents. De-escalating anti-social behaviour using calm, compliant communication and sound judgment. Accurately documenting events in site logs and complete all reports within required timeframes. Supporting incident follow-ups, including preliminary enquiries and evidence preservation when required. Candidates must possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes: A current South Australian Security Licence. Certificate II in Security Operations. A valid First Aid Certificate. A current and valid South Australian Driver’s Licence. An up-to-date South Australian Working with Children Clearance. Recent National Police Clearance. Full, unlimited rights to work in Australia. Additionally, candidates will require: Access to reliable transportation. A high standard of professional appearance and personal grooming. A positive attitude, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for engaging with people effectively. Proven experience in providing high-quality, customer-oriented security services. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Positions available: 10 Casual Security Officers Award Level 2 Shifts: Weekday and weekend | Day and night shifts Key Responsibilities Conduct patrols to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets Provide a professional and approachable security presence Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance Identify and assess risks, taking appropriate action in line with procedures Adhere to all site and company security protocols Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A valid Security Licence Current First Aid and CPR certification Previous security experience (retail experience highly regarded) Availability to work day/night and weekday/weekend shifts Good physical fitness, as patrols are required Ability to work independently and follow procedures Strong attention to detail A reliable and punctual work history Full Australian working rights What We Offer Employment with a well-established national organisation Supportive team environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Career progression within the Millennium Services Group Millennium Services Group is an equal opportunity employer.
