Digital Marketing Industry Subject Matter Expert » Middle Park, Port Phillip - At peopleworth, we support work where people and performance thrive. As part of our Employer Group, we work with a variety of forward-thinking partners and are excited to share this opportunity that sits within our growing group. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced, AI-first Digital Marketing Industry Subject Matter Expert who combines deep digital marketing expertise with substantial practical experience using generative AI and emerging technologies in modern marketing workflows. This is a remote contract role covering approximately 30 working days between September 2026 and May 2027. The role will contribute practitioner expertise to the enhancement of an established professional digital marketing learning programme. The focus is on ensuring that applied activities, worked examples, assessments and supporting materials reflect how effective digital marketers operate in an environment where AI is increasingly embedded across research, strategy, content, campaign execution, optimisation, analysis and decision-making. The successful candidate will bring a critical practitioner perspective to both digital marketing and AI. This includes understanding where AI can improve marketing performance and productivity, where human judgement remains essential, and how experienced marketers evaluate, challenge, refine and contextualise AI-generated outputs. Requirements Demonstrated current, hands-on experience applying generative AI and emerging technologies within professional digital marketing workflows. Strong understanding of how AI is changing digital marketing strategy, research, content development, campaign execution, optimisation, analytics and professional decision-making. Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate AI-generated marketing outputs and apply professional judgement to challenge, refine, contextualise and improve them. Substantial current professional experience across digital marketing strategy, channels, campaign development, execution, optimisation and measurement. Deep digital marketing subject matter expertise with the professional credibility to provide authoritative practitioner guidance on contemporary practice. Strong understanding of customer journeys, campaign planning, channel selection, content, performance measurement, experimentation, optimisation and commercial decision-making. Demonstrated ability to distinguish strong professional work from work that is merely technically competent and explain that distinction clearly to non-specialists. Ability to review existing materials for accuracy, credibility, relevance, consistency and alignment with current professional practice. Strong written communication skills and the ability to translate complex professional judgement into concise, practical and usable guidance. Confidence collaborating with learning designers, academic contributors, senior stakeholders and other subject matter specialists. Experience contributing to professional learning content, assessments, case studies, capability frameworks, mentoring or professional education would be advantageous. Experience across B2B and B2C digital marketing environments would be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Review existing learning materials, activities, assessment briefs, case studies and worked examples to ensure they reflect current AI-enabled digital marketing practice. Provide practitioner expertise on how generative AI and emerging technologies are changing digital marketing workflows, capabilities, outputs and professional expectations. Develop practical guidance demonstrating how marketers can use AI effectively while applying critical thinking, professional judgement, brand context and commercial awareness. Advise on assessment design, including which capabilities remain important to assess when AI can produce first drafts, analysis and routine marketing outputs. Work collaboratively with learning designers and academic contributors to translate established curriculum frameworks into credible, applied learning experiences. Develop and refine practical source material, worked examples, case studies, activity guidance and assessment content based on contemporary marketing practice. Define the difference between technically competent outputs, including AI-assisted outputs, and high-quality practitioner work, translating this distinction into clear assessment criteria and learner guidance. Record concise practical walkthroughs demonstrating how an experienced digital marketer approaches selected AI-enabled tasks, tools, decisions or workflows. Provide practitioner insight into common marketing challenges, mistakes, trade-offs, constraints and decision points, including the risks and limitations associated with AI-generated work. Maintain consistency in practitioner expectations, terminology, examples, assessment standards and professional relevance across different areas of the programme. Participate in selected discussions with academic, learning and other senior stakeholders, communicating practitioner recommendations clearly and constructively. Work effectively within established curriculum boundaries and existing materials, identifying where subject matter expertise can add the greatest value without unnecessarily redesigning content outside the agreed scope. Benefits Collaborative, people-centred performance culture. Opportunities to contribute specialist expertise within a fast-paced professional environment. Remote contract working arrangement. Opportunity to apply contemporary AI and digital marketing expertise to the development of professionally relevant learning experiences. Digital Marketing Industry Subject Matter Expert » Middle Park, Port Phillip - At peopleworth, we support work where people and performance thrive. As part of our Employer Group, we work with a variety of forward-thinking partners and are excited to share this opportunity that sits within our growing group. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Industry Subject Matter Expert to contribute practitioner expertise to the enhancement of an established professional digital marketing learning programme. This is a remote contract role covering approximately 30 working days between September and January. The focus is not on teaching or rewriting academic content. The role requires someone who can translate current industry practice into credible learning experiences, identify the difference between competent and high-quality professional work, and help ensure consistency in applied standards across multiple areas of the programme. Requirements Substantial current, hands-on professional experience in digital marketing across areas such as strategy, channels, campaign development, execution, optimisation, and measurement. Deep and current subject matter expertise, with the professional credibility to act as a practitioner authority on contemporary digital marketing practice. Demonstrated ability to distinguish strong professional work from work that is merely competent, and to explain that difference clearly to people who may not be marketing specialists. Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, customer journeys, campaign planning, channel selection, content, performance measurement, experimentation, optimisation, and commercial decision-making. Practical experience using generative AI and other emerging tools within digital marketing workflows, with the ability to critically evaluate output and apply professional judgement to improve the result. Confidence collaborating with learning designers, academic contributors, senior stakeholders, and other subject matter specialists. The judgement and diplomacy to present a practitioner perspective clearly, including where professional practice and academic perspectives may differ. Demonstrated ability to work productively within established curriculum, project, and content constraints rather than requiring a blank-slate approach. Experience mentoring, developing, assessing, or evaluating marketing professionals would be advantageous. Experience across both B2C and B2B digital marketing environments would be advantageous. Previous experience leading a marketing team, contributing to professional education, or maintaining a recognised professional profile through speaking, writing, mentoring, or advisory work would be advantageous. Review and contribute to existing storyboards, learning materials, activities, assessment briefs, case studies, and worked examples, ensuring they remain current, credible, and grounded in real digital marketing practice. Participate in collaborative design and review sessions with academic contributors and learning specialists to refine the sequencing, applied scope, practitioner expectations, and intended outcomes of learning activities. Develop and refine practical source material, worked examples, case studies, activity guidance, and assessment content that demonstrate how experienced marketers approach real-world decisions and challenges. Advise on assessment design, including what remains valuable to assess as digital tools and generative AI increasingly support the production of first drafts and routine marketing outputs. Define and articulate the difference between technically competent work and strong practitioner work, helping translate professional judgement into clear assessment criteria and learner guidance. Develop practical guidance for the appropriate use of AI within digital marketing activities, including how marketers should evaluate, challenge, refine, contextualise, and improve AI-generated outputs. Record concise practical walkthroughs demonstrating how an experienced digital marketer approaches selected tasks, tools, decisions, or workflows. Provide practitioner insight into the realities of digital marketing work, including common mistakes, trade-offs, constraints, decision points, and factors that influence successful outcomes. Review proposed changes to learning activities and advise where simplifying or removing content may save learner time but reduce the strength of an intended professional outcome. Maintain consistency in practitioner expectations, terminology, applied examples, assessment standards, and professional relevance across the different areas of the programme. Participate in selected discussions with senior academic and learning stakeholders where a practitioner perspective is required, communicating recommendations clearly and constructively. Contribute expert insight to knowledge-sharing or related learning activities where specialist practitioner input is required. Work effectively within established curriculum boundaries and existing materials, identifying where subject matter expertise can add the greatest value without unnecessarily redesigning content outside the agreed scope. Customer Success Manager » South Yarra, Stonnington Area - Wanted: Customer Success Manager for Australia's Fastest Growing Digital Agency Dear Retention Warrior, If you've been searching through countless lifeless job listings on Seek… Almost slipping into a deep coma from the "We're looking for a highly experienced Customer Success Manager… blah blah blah" job adverts… And you're looking for an exciting opportunity to join the fastest growing digital agency in the country… Then this will be the most important job listing you ever read. Firstly… stop what you're doing and watch this - https://youtu.be/OPdKs9NM380 Okay let's continue… We are a full-service digital marketing agency that is growing FAST! For the last three years, we've been ranked as the fastest-growing digital agency… And the 17th fastest growing company in the country by The Australian Financial Review… We're a world-class herd of digital strategists, direct response marketers, designers, growth hackers and developers, banded together to help our clients reach their growth goals. And this is just one of the reasons we've been named as one of the BEST PLACES TO WORK in Australia & New Zealand by AFR and one of the Top 100 Coolest Companies in Australia by Anthill Magazine. Look, the list goes on and on… because we've seriously won more awards than you can shake a stick at. Now here's the thing. Our Digital Growth Strategists are the people our clients call when it matters. They're sharp, they're hungry, and they carry a lot on their shoulders. What they need is someone in their corner. Every single day. Someone who's been in the trenches. Who's had the hard client conversation and come out the other side with the account intact. Who can look at a struggling campaign and know whether it's a strategy problem, a delivery problem, or a client-expectation problem - and knows exactly who to call for each one. That's the role. You'll sit between the Head of Digital Growth Strategy and the DGS team as their first point of contact, coach, and cover. Process questions, contract queries, billing curveballs, cranky clients at 4:55pm on a Friday - they come to you, and you have the authority to actually solve them. Not "escalate them upwards and hope." Solve them. This is not a message-relay job. It's a decision-making job. If your instinct is to forward the problem, this isn't for you. If your instinct is to establish the facts, form a view and drive it to resolution, keep reading. Do it well and three things happen: the team is genuinely well led, our clients get the follow-through they were promised, and our Head of DGS gets to work ON the business instead of IN it. And as the role and the team mature, there's real room for this to grow into something much bigger. What You'll Do Lead the Digital Growth Strategist team day to day - regular one-on-ones, clear performance and communication standards, and feedback that actually lands Be the first port of call on process, contractual (Terms of Service, Performance Guarantees) and billing questions - resolving what you can and escalating only the genuinely novel or high-risk Own client escalations end to end: run the internal retention discussion, jump on the client call, coordinate the fix, and monitor the NPS feedback that follows Host the team's retention meetings - review and approve retention plans, and make sure the next steps are documented and actually happen Spot the patterns behind escalations, churn risk and team issues, and work with the Head of DGS to fix root causes instead of the same fire twice a month Support strategists to diagnose campaign performance issues, pulling in SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social and CRO as needed Run the team's rhythm - campaign reviews, cross-department updates, the lot Own team capacity and workload allocation, flagging resourcing risk early rather than when it's already on fire Onboard and train new Digital Growth Strategists, and build the team's capability to handle routine issues without you Hunt down upsell opportunities in the existing client base and help strategists turn strong performance into expanded scope Keep our processes and documentation sharp enough to survive staff changeover Work across departments to unblock anything getting in the way of the client experience What You'll Be Measured On Team Performance: Strategists who are supported, held to standard, and getting better month on month Client Retention: Fewer avoidable cancellations, and retention plans that get executed Escalation Health: Issues resolved at your level, not bounced up - and recurring issues that stop recurring Client Sentiment: NPS and client feedback moving in the right direction Revenue Growth: Upsell opportunities identified and converted within the existing base Requirements What You'll Need To Bring To The Table Team Leadership: Proven experience leading a client-facing team in a digital marketing, agency or professional services environment Marketing Fluency: Strong working knowledge across SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social and CRO - enough to hold your own with specialists, strategists and clients. You don't need to build the campaign, but you need to know when something's off Performance Management: You address issues early, give clear feedback, and follow through on agreed actions Stakeholder Muscle: A track record of getting outcomes out of people who don't report to you Judgement: You know the difference between what you should handle and what genuinely needs escalating - and you get it right most of the time Problem-Solving: You investigate, establish the facts and bring a recommendation. Not just a problem with a bow on it Conflict Resolution: Calm, credible and clear when a client is unhappy Organisation: Recurring processes run reliably because you run them reliably Bonus points: You've built or formalised a team support structure before, in a business that was scaling underneath you Here's What To Do Next… Please take the time to write a Cover Letter that tells us about YOU. Not some wishy-washy cover letter like… "I'm a 34-year-old people-person who is passionate about client relationships and thrives in fast-paced environments"… No. I want the details. The juice. The nitty-gritty. Tell me about the hardest client you ever saved. Or the one you lost, and what you'd do differently. Tell me specifically why you think you would be the perfect fit for this role. If you can't take the time to do this. Please don't waste our time or yours by applying. Best of luck. P.S. If this job description excited you even just a little bit. And you believe you're the retention warrior we're looking for. Then please write and send your cover letter ASAP as we're currently interviewing for this position and I'm sure it will get filled fast. Who knows. Maybe it will be a fit and maybe it won't. And maybe, just maybe, this will turn out to be the best job you've ever had. Benefits The juicy part: Generous salary - we want Australia's best talent and reward as such Extensive training and full support - we take training very seriously and will provide you with the industry's very best training, giving you the knowledge and confidence needed for greatness Amazing growth prospects and upward mobility in our fast-paced agency INSANE events - You name it and we've probably done it Company trips away - such as glamping, Bali & Thailand Birthday leave - because you deserve it Two days work from home - because sometimes you just want to wear your comfy pants and slippers Jaw-dropping headquarters in South Yarra (just off Chapel St.) is close to cafes and public transport • Mon, 31 AugKing Kong
