Senior Graphic Designer (Static Ads) » Australia - This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer (Static Ads) based in Australia. This is a senior-level creative role focused on producing high-performing static advertising for fast-growing e-commerce brands. You’ll turn concise briefs and brand guidelines into scroll-stopping concepts that communicate clearly and capture attention quickly. The role combines strong visual craft with a performance mindset, where great design is measured by both quality and its ability to drive results. You’ll work primarily independently while collaborating with an experienced design team through focused feedback and creative reviews. Speed and consistency are essential, with an expectation of producing approximately 9–10 polished composites each day. You’ll also use AI extensively to accelerate ideation, explore creative directions, and develop variations without compromising design quality. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled designer who enjoys creative experimentation, tight deadlines, measurable outcomes, and a high level of ownership. Accountabilities Create high-quality static advertising creatives using strong typography, visual hierarchy, composition, and layouts designed to capture attention and communicate messages quickly. Translate concise briefs and brand guidelines into multiple creative variations suitable for rapid testing across different e-commerce brands and categories. Use Photoshop as the primary production tool for compositing, typography, retouching, and fast, precise creative execution, while leveraging Figma for layouts, systems, and collaborative feedback. Incorporate AI tools extensively into the creative workflow to ideate, explore visual styles, generate variations, and improve production efficiency while maintaining a high level of craft. Consistently produce approximately 9–10 approved composites per day while balancing speed, accuracy, consistency, and creative quality. Iterate quickly based on feedback, simplifying concepts and messaging to focus on the elements most likely to drive attention and performance. Bring a senior creative perspective to concept development, challenging safe or predictable executions and proposing stronger directions that can improve advertising performance. Maintain organized, consistent, and production-ready design files with strong attention to detail and file hygiene. Communicate timelines, blockers, priorities, and tradeoffs proactively through written channels such as Slack and email. Meet agreed weekly performance targets while maintaining a consistently high quality bar and minimizing unnecessary revision cycles. Progress toward defined 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance expectations, including reaching full production capacity, reducing revision rates, contributing creative direction, and taking ownership of increasingly demanding briefs and brand launches. Requirements Experience: 5 years of professional graphic design experience with advertising creative at the center of your work, supported by a portfolio of shipped ads or conversion-focused visual work across multiple brands or categories. Advertising Expertise: Demonstrated experience creating advertisements is required; experience with Facebook, paid social, DTC, or performance marketing environments is a strong advantage. Photoshop: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is essential, particularly for compositing, typography, retouching, and rapid production under tight deadlines. Figma: Comfortable using Figma for layouts, components, design systems, feedback, and collaborative reviews. AI-Assisted Design: Fluent use of AI tools within your creative process, with examples of AI-assisted work in your portfolio and a clear understanding of where AI can meaningfully improve ideation and production without replacing good design judgment. High-Volume Production: Proven ability to sustain a demanding daily creative output over an extended period, ideally within a creative agency or direct-to-consumer brand environment. Performance Mindset: Strong understanding of what makes advertising effective and converts, with the confidence to challenge briefs and recommend stronger creative approaches rather than focusing solely on aesthetics. Communication: Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly, precisely, and professionally through written channels and meetings. Organization: Thoughtful and methodical approach to creative production, with strong attention to detail, file organization, consistency, and deadlines. Prioritization: Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet daily and weekly production targets without compromising quality. Collaboration: Comfortable working in an approximately 80% independent and 20% collaborative environment, while actively seeking and responding constructively to feedback. Creative Judgment: Strong visual instincts, curiosity, adaptability, and the confidence to move beyond predictable concepts while working within practical creative constraints. Benefits Starting compensation of $2,000 USD per month , with the opportunity for higher compensation for exceptional talent. Fully remote, full-time contractor position with a predictable Monday–Friday schedule. Working hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) . Clear priorities, structured feedback loops, and regular check-ins. High-volume, real-world performance creative projects across e-commerce categories including health, apparel, pet, and fitness. Significant autonomy over your creative work alongside collaboration with an experienced design team. Opportunity to expand your AI-enabled design capabilities and develop scalable creative systems. International exposure through a global professional network. Back-office support covering payroll, onboarding, and HR administration. Opportunity to sharpen both creative craft and performance-oriented advertising expertise through rapid testing and iteration. Senior Graphic Designer » Australia - We've partnered with a well-established arts, culture and heritage organisation in Canberra that engages audiences through exhibitions, public programmes and its own in-house creative output. The organisation is investing in a more connected way of working between its creative team and the rest of the business, and this role sits at the centre of that shift. The role This is a senior design role for someone who wants to bring ideas to the table, not just execute someone else's brief. You will lead design and creative direction on the organisation's most significant print title, working just as comfortably across digital and social assets, retail collateral and campaign work for the wider organisation. The clearest signal of what this role needs: some of the most visible creative work you'll lead is genuinely open brief. The team wants someone who can take a loose idea or a piece of source material and turn it into a strong, considered visual concept, sourcing outside creative talent where it serves the idea, rather than someone who waits to be told exactly what to design. It is design with real ownership, sitting within a close-knit creative team that spans photography, video, editorial and web, and working across an organisation that touches marketing, digital content, retail and public programming. What you'll do Lead design and creative direction for the organisation's flagship print title, from concept through to production, shaping how each edition looks and feels Develop concepts and campaigns rather than simply laying out supplied content, proposing the strongest creative response even from an open or loosely defined brief Design across a broad mix of formats, including static social and digital assets, exhibition and retail collateral, standard print collateral and website assets Partner directly with marketing, digital, retail and public programme teams, often originating the brief yourself rather than waiting to be briefed Contribute to the team's creative direction and standards, helping shape how design is used across the organisation Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines with a high degree of autonomy Liaise with external suppliers, printers and contributors, managing production from concept through to delivery Bring a commercial lens to design decisions on customer-facing print and retail work, where design has to perform, not just look right What you'll bring A strong design background from agency, in-house or studio environments, with a portfolio that shows conceptual thinking as well as finished execution Confidence proposing and defending creative direction, not just delivering against a brief Experience across print and digital design; long-form or editorial design experience is highly regarded but not essential Comfort working with ambiguity and an evolving team structure, rather than a fully defined process Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to build relationships and generate your own briefs across a large organisation A genuinely collaborative approach; this is a team of specialists who work across each other's projects, not in isolation This role is for you if: You want ownership of creative direction, not just production You are energised by carrying one idea across multiple touchpoints, from print through to social and retail You want to be judged on the strength of the idea rather than the speed of the turnaround You want to help build a studio's future way of working, not maintain what already exists This role is not for you if: You want a fully defined process and clear briefs from day one You prefer to specialise in a single channel or format You want to work independently with limited stakeholder contact Why you'll love working here Genuine creative ownership of the organisation's most significant print title, not just execution of someone else's concept Direct exposure across marketing, digital, retail and public programme teams, well beyond a standard studio brief Time and trust to develop ideas properly, in contrast to the fast-turnaround volume typical of agency environments A close-knit, multidisciplinary creative team, not a solo design function The chance to help shape a growing creative function as it builds its future operating model The details Location: Canberra, ACT.
