IT Project Manager » Alexandria, Inner West - Flying Bark Productions is a dynamic and innovative animation studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of character animation and storytelling. We are working on exciting projects such as Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Stranger Things animated series, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan. The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering projects across the IT Operations space, and for owning and maintaining the enterprise operations roadmap in partnership with the Director of Operations. Working closely with the Head of IT Operations, the Director of Operations, the Platforms & Infrastructure Lead and their team, and the Technical Project Analyst, you will bring structure, momentum and clear communication to initiatives that improve IT Operations, IT Service Management and wider business operations across the studio. This is an early-career project management role suited to someone with a few years of experience who is organised, proactive and keen to grow, ensuring projects are well-scoped, well-run and delivered without disrupting the productions that depend on our technology. Scope: Manage a portfolio of small-to-medium IT projects concurrently — spanning desktop, systems, infrastructure and service management initiatives Own the enterprise operations roadmap, which extends beyond IT to include business projects (such as HR and business systems implementations, e.g. Employment Hero). Own project planning, scheduling, stakeholder communication, risk and issue tracking, and delivery reporting, while technical delivery is carried out by the IT team. You will also work closely with Pipeline Project Managers and the R&D team to coordinate initiatives that cross between IT and the production pipeline, ensuring dependencies are visible and delivery is aligned. Balance the needs of fast-paced production teams with the operational and security requirements of the studio, coordinating change so that project work lands smoothly and predictably. Champion a collaborative, "can-do" culture, taking ownership of project outcomes, communicating openly and building strong relationships across the technology team and the wider studio. About the role: Project Planning & Delivery Plan, coordinate and deliver IT projects end-to-end and define scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs and success criteria with the Head of IT Operations. Run projects day-to-day: track tasks and actions, coordinate contributors, remove blockers and keep work moving to schedule. Work closely with the Platforms & Infrastructure Lead and their team to plan and sequence technical delivery across desktop, systems and infrastructure domains. Manage risks, issues, dependencies and changes to scope, escalating early with options and recommendations. Coordinate scheduling of project work and change activity around production needs, minimising disruption to artists and staff. Enterprise Operations Roadmap Own and maintain the enterprise operations roadmap in partnership with the Director of Operations - taking ownership of its development, maintenance, communication and use across the business. Develop the roadmap in collaboration with the Director of Operations and relevant stakeholders, covering both IT initiatives and wider business projects (e.g. Employment Hero and other business systems). Maintain the roadmap as a live document, reviewed and updated on a regular cadence, with sequencing, resourcing and dependencies kept current. Ensure key stakeholders and Leadership have visibility of the roadmap and understand their dependencies within it, through regular communication and reporting. Provide roadmap and portfolio reporting to IT and Operations leadership, including progress against plan, capacity constraints and upcoming decision points. Stakeholder Management & Communication Act as the central point of contact for project status — preparing clear, regular reporting for the Head of IT Operations, Director of Operations and stakeholders. Gather requirements from production, technical and corporate stakeholders and translate them into well-defined project scope. Collaborate with Pipeline Project Managers and the R&D team to align cross-team initiatives, share dependencies and coordinate delivery where IT Operations and pipeline projects intersect. Communicate changes, cutovers and rollouts to affected teams in plain language, with appropriate notice and follow-up. Liaise with third-party vendors on quotes, procurement, delivery timelines and implementation activities. Process & Continuous Improvement Support improvements to IT Service Management practices — service desk workflows, request/incident/change processes, knowledge and asset management. Maintain clear project documentation, including project plans, decision logs, status reports and closure/handover documents. Help establish and refine lightweight, fit-for-purpose project management practices for the IT team. About you: Experience Around 3 years of experience coordinating or managing projects, ideally within an IT, technology or operations environment. Demonstrated ability to plan and run small-to-medium projects, managing scope, schedule, risks and stakeholders. Experience maintaining a project roadmap or portfolio view, or coordinating priorities across multiple teams, desirable; exposure to business systems projects (e.g. HR/payroll platforms) an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, waterfall or hybrid); formal certification (e.g. PRINCE2, CAPM, PMP, Agile) desirable but not required. Familiarity with IT Service Management concepts (e.g. ITIL practices, change management, service desk tooling) desirable. Enough general IT literacy to engage credibly with engineers on desktop, systems and infrastructure topics — a technical background is helpful but not essential. Experience liaising with vendors on procurement and delivery desirable. Key Measures of Success Projects delivered to agreed scope, quality, budget and timeframes, with risks and issues surfaced early. An enterprise operations roadmap developed in collaboration with the Director of Operations and relevant stakeholders, and maintained as a live document reviewed and updated on a regular cadence. Key stakeholders and Leadership have visibility of the roadmap and understand their dependencies within it. Clear, consistent and timely project, roadmap and portfolio reporting and stakeholder communication. Project and change activity coordinated with minimal disruption to productions. Effective coordination of cross-team initiatives with Platforms & Infrastructure, Pipeline Project Managers and R&D. Quality and completeness of project documentation and handover to operational teams. IT Operations Manager » North Wollongong, Wollongong Area - The Role Gridsight is scaling fast - more people, more devices, more systems, and a growing set of enterprise customers. We’re hiring an IT Operations Manager to own IT operations end-to-end: from the laptop a new hire opens on day one, to the access they lose on their last day, to maintaining our SOC 2 compliance and leading us towards ISO 27001 certification. You’ll be the first dedicated owner of this space, reporting to our VP of Operations. This is a great fit for someone who wants full ownership of a critical function, is comfortable building processes from the ground up, and cares as much about the employee experience as audit readiness. What You’ll Own IT Operations & Infrastructure Own IT operations across Gridsight, including devices, SaaS tools, endpoint management and vendor relationships. Be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, resolving issues quickly and minimising disruption. Own and administer the systems that keep the company running, including MDM, identity and access management, and IT ticketing. Evaluate and introduce new tools and processes as the company grows. Build clear, practical documentation so IT knowledge is accessible, repeatable and scalable Employee Lifecycle & Access Control Own the technology experience across the employee lifecycle, ensuring every new joiner has the right hardware, accounts and access from day one. Partner with engineering and product on developer/engineer tooling access and provision. Partner closely with People, Talent and hiring managers to make onboarding and offboarding seamless for everyone involved. Lead Gridsight towards ISO 27001 certification and own its ongoing maintenance once achieved. Partner with Engineering and leadership to address control gaps and continuously strengthen our security posture as the business scales. Own IT security policies, ensuring they remain current, practical and understood across the company. Own completion of security questionnaires (including uplevelling our AI tooling to complete these autonomously) Build security and compliance into day-to-day operations, rather than treating them as annual audit exercises. Who You Are You take genuine ownership: you identify what needs to be done, act without waiting for direction and follow through to completion. You’re comfortable being the first dedicated person in a function and building the processes, systems and structure needed for it to scale. You’re equally comfortable setting direction and handling day-to-day work, from improving company-wide controls to troubleshooting an employee’s laptop. You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences and can make IT, security and compliance requirements practical and easy to understand. You’re highly organised, dependable and attentive to detail, particularly when managing access, devices and audit evidence. You care about the employee experience and understand that effective IT should make secure ways of working straightforward. What You’ll Bring Experience owning IT operations and/or security compliance (SOC2, ISO27001 or similar) at a scaling company, ideally SaaS. Hands-on experience with access management, identity providers, and device/endpoint management tooling. A track record of running or contributing to compliance audits (SOC2 Type II, ISO27001 or similar frameworks). What We Offer: Competitive salary. We hold high expectations, but pay accordingly. IT Manager » Port Melbourne, Port Phillip - About the role As IT Manager, you will own the technology backbone that keeps Arkeus running. You will be the first IT person in the company, working in close collaboration with our external IT service supplier. Your objective is to progressively bring that capability in house. AI is central to how you do this: you will use AI to multiply what you and your team can deliver, and you will be an active advocate for AI across every operation and IT system at Arkeus. About you You are comfortable being the whole IT function — configuring a laptop in the morning, reviewing access rights and network alerts in the afternoon, and managing a supplier relationship in between. You have experience building or transforming IT functions, ideally including standing up operations in a new country, and you understand the compliance rigour in regulated industries such as defence. Importantly, you treat cybersecurity as a first-class part of the job, not an afterthought. Key responsibilities Networks & Infrastructure: Keep our networks running reliably and actively monitored, with visibility over performance, uptime and incidents across both sites. Access & Identity: Make sure access rights are in place, correctly scoped and regularly reviewed — clean onboarding, clean offboarding, least privilege by default. Cybersecurity: Implement and enforce our cybersecurity rules and controls, and keep Arkeus compliant with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) in Australia and NIST standards in the US. US IT Setup: Design and stand up IT infrastructure and support for our growing US presence, matching the standards and reliability of our Australian operations. AI Enablement & Advocacy: Use AI to enhance your own output and that of your team, and champion AI adoption across every function and IT system at Arkeus — bringing teams along with change rather than mandating it from above. Supplier Management & Insourcing: Work in close collaboration with our IT service supplier while building the internal capability to replace them, growing the team to two (you plus one) rather than outsourcing. Own the selection, implementation and ongoing management of core IT and AI tools and platforms. Your experience and skills Hands-On IT Management: Experience running IT end-to-end for 70 user s . Experience supporting Linux and highly technical software engineers . MS Office 365 — Endpoint configuration and management, networks and monitoring, identity and access management, and end-user support. Insourcing & Supplier Management: Experience managing a managed-service provider and bringing that work in house, and/or standing up IT in a new country or region. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, ideally DISP (Australia) and/or NIST (US), or a strong ability to get up to speed quickly. Why join Arkeus You will own how a deep-tech company at the frontier of AI, optics and autonomy runs its own IT and you will build the internal team that replaces our outsourced support You will collaborate with exceptional leaders who have decades of combined experience in AI, optics and defence. You will become part of a close-knit, ego-free team where ideas compete on merit, not seniority. Low politics, high trust. The kind of team you will still be talking about in ten years. You will work hard and be expected to bring your best, and in return you will grow faster than you ever would at a large organisation. You will receive a competitive, market-benchmarked salary, structured career pathways built to grow with you, and the opportunity to participate in our Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP). We strongly encourage applications from candidates who don't check every box. If this role excites you, please apply. • Fri, 14 AugOur Open Roles
